3 Simple Steps to get your Backyard Ready for the 4th of July

So, you’ve decided to throw a big 4th of July barbecue in your backyard this year. But after looking at the state of your backyard, you’re left wondering, “how am I going to pull it all together?”

Well, don’t fret! At DiaNoche Designs we’ve got you covered with three simple steps to help get your backyard ready!

1. Prep Your Backyard

We all know how weathered and raggedy a backyard can get if you haven’t stepped foot in it since last summer. If you’re getting ready to throw a big bash, now is the perfect time to start to prep your backyard.

Take a couple of weeks to clear the clutter and get your backyard organized for your upcoming party. Throw out anything that looks like it doesn’t have a real home, fix any broken pavers and cracks in your concrete. If your deck is looking worn, give it a good power washing and work on resealing it.

Do some much needed yard work, pull any weeds or dead plants, then stop by your local nursery and purchase some new plants.

2. Outdoor Furniture

Once you’ve gotten your backyard into a reasonable state, the next thing you want to do is look at your outdoor furniture. Take stock of what you have and ask yourself a few questions:

  • Do you have enough seating for your guests?
  • Is your furniture in good condition?
  • Will I need new a new umbrella, seat cushions, or throw pillows?

If you answered yes to most of these questions, then now is the time to do yourself a favor and get the items you need before the 4th is upon you.

At DiaNoche Designs, we have a wonderful collection of outdoor seat cushions and throw pillows in a variety of scapes, abstracts, and florals to name a few, by many talented artists. Our Floral Color IV and Fiesta Native Inspired seat cushions by artists Julia Di Sano and Organic Saturation would be the perfect edition to any backyard not only for the 4th of July, but all year round.
